Maison Bourbon in New Orleans

A favorite of ours when we're in the French Quarter is the Maison Bourbon jazz club on Bourbon Street. It's a great place to hear classic jazz, usually performed by that consummate trumpet player Jamil Sharif. Always a gentleman, Mr. Sharif turns in a perfect, totally professional performance. And he is always surrounded by some of New Orleans best musicians on piano, sax, and drums.

So I suggest you walk right in to this dark atmospheric club, order an Irish Coffee and experience jazz at its traditional, golden age best!
